A limited edition art print featuring Mr. Daytona Scott Russell titled “Crash n Win”. Limited to 200 signed and numbered prints. Painted by world renown artist Lee Bivens (official Daytona artist for the 50th running and the 75th running). Lee created this piece to commemorate Scott’s epic win in the 1995 Daytona 200. This was arguably the most exciting Daytona 200 in history. Scott won the previous year after starting in 64th (due to engine failure during qualifying) so everyone’s eyes were on’the MAN’ for 1995. Adding to the drama was the powerful international contingent lead by the wickedly talented Carl Fogarty. The excitement was high as the race started and on the second lap Scott low-side crashes in the International horseshoe. He runs to the bike before it stops spinning, jumping over it like spider-man to snatch it off the ground. Wasting no time to get it fired with a little help from motivated corners workers. Scott races back into the pits to find his right foot peg was broken off. With a few superlatives, he screeches back on the track and starts his amazing string of lap times. Crashing and winning Americas greatest motorcycle race against arguably the highest level of competition the annual race has ever witnessed is truly amazing. This win was Scott’s 3rd Daytona 200 win of his record 5 in total. The original acrylic painting has hung in Scott Russells home since Lee presented it to him in 1995. Every visitor to Scotts house has seen this painting hung stylishly over his fireplace. In early 2017 the decision to produce a limited edition print series was borne. This will be the 4th and final print series Lee has published with Scott during his stellar career. We wanted to publish the “crash and win” piece to share this great memory with Scott’s legions of amazing fans Lee calls the “Russells army”. RACERS: if you want’your’ plate number, let us know. DETAILS: this print series is limited to 200 prints. It is an art print (giclee) on archival paper. Size is 20 inches wide by 24 inches tall.
