Offered is a Babe Ruth Signed Baseball. This ball was acquired many years ago from the family who claimed to have got it in person from Ruth. This family had no other pieces of memorabilia they were looking to sell or were not collectors – this ball was the only piece of baseball memorabilia they owned. We believe the ball is authentic and signed by Ruth, however, we are not going to guarantee that it will pass any third party authentication company. That said, those companies are merely opinions (albeit, good ones) but do not guarantee authenticity either. In fact, you could send the ball in to one and it pass, and send it to another and it not pass. We did show this ball to one of the main authenticators who was not able to give a clear opinion either way – no documentation is provided to support this. It was simply a show and tell and our plan was to keep the ball. The stampings on the baseball are faded and it’s hard to tell the brand. It’s possible other signatures may exist on the ball but if so, they are not distinguishable. Please, only serious offers will be considered. We realize the value would be higher if it had authentication, but do not send a low ball offer – it will be automatically declined. 10% of the proceeds will be given to charity.
